About the Role:
Sedgwick Resource Solutions are seeking an experienced Liability Claims Investigator to join our clients established liability team. In this role, no two days will ever be the same, one day you could be dealing with a fire caused by an electric scooter, the next handling a claim for someone who has fallen in a supermarket or dealing with workplace injuries.
As a Liability Desktop Adjuster, you will be responsible for conducting field investigations and reporting on a diverse range of claims, including Employers' Liability, Public Liability (injury and property), and Motor injury claims. You will work closely with leading Liability Insurers, high-profile corporate clients, and brokers. A strong background in liability claims handling is essential, along with a methodical investigative approach to identifying potential fraudulent activity and ensuring adherence to claims protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into a variety of liability claims, including EL, PL, and motor injury claims.
- Assess claims for accuracy, completeness, and any potential fraudulent activity.
- Collaborate with insurers, brokers, and corporate clients to ensure claims are processed efficiently and effectively.
- Interpret insurance policy wording, with particular emphasis on contract law, statutes, and civil liability.
- Provide expert recommendations and reports based on findings, ensuring adherence to best practices and company protocols.
- Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless claims handling.
You will have the following skills:
- A driving license and be happy to do face to face visits where required.
- Ideally you will have some kind of experience with visiting clients/investigating.
- Proven experience in EL/PL/Motor injury claims or property claims handling.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance law and the ability to interpret policy wording in various contexts.
- Ability to engage with a range of clients, from large corporations to small businesses.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- High level of professionalism, with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
- A clean, full driving licence
